Kaoru x Reader - Jealousy Chp. 7.5

"Why is Alleah so rude?" you ask as you and Haruhi do the dishes. It was the morning of the date, and since everything would be happening in the afternoon, the two of you still had to do work before lunch, which was okay with Haruhi, but not you. "She didn't even have to speak and I could sense her overpowering anger."


Haruhi laughed, drying a plate and setting it gently in a cupboard. "What do you mean? Weren't there two of them?"


"Two of what?" you dropped your dishcloth in the dirty water and pretended to be horrified, staring at your friend with wide eyes. "Haruhi, please don't tell me there's two Alleah's and I didn't notice!" you groan, throwing your hands up in the air. "How did I miss that?!"


"Calm down, Y/N." Haruhi chuckled, "There's only one Alleah." this made you sigh in relief, and you resumed in draining the dirty water and turning on the tap for fresher water. "There is her sister, Noel, and they act the same, so there basically is two Alleah's..." Haruhi mumbled the last part, casting her eyes downwards as you handed her a glass cup.


Mild shock rang through your body as you remembered the blonde. "Oh yeah, I forgot about her. She's louder though, isn't she? Alleah's more like Medusa, and Noel is like...."


You tried to find a word that fit, but you couldn't find any, so you just said, "A bald eagle."


"W-what?!" Haruhi dropped the cup from laughing so much, and you caught it just in time, laughing as well. "That's a horrible relation!"


Laughing even harder, the two of you had to sit down in order to gain your composure, but once you imagined the snotty girl with no hair, you started to laugh again, which resulted in you both falling on the floor, tears gathering in your eyes.


"Oooh~? What's this~?" Misuzu poked his head in the kitchen, noticing the two of you in the ground. "Do you two need help? A medic, perhaps?"


"W-we're fine, Mi-misuzu-c-chii!" you squeaked, holding your stomach as you stood up, helping  Haurhi to her feet.


The cross-dresser looked both of you up and down, before nodding and smiling. "There's still more dishes out in front, darlings~! Chop chop~~!!!!" he shouted, twirling out of the room. Your smile fell as you groaned in frustration. Looking at Haruhi, you exchange a silent conversation.


"You go get them."


"What? No! I've been drying the dishes all this time, and you've hardly done a thing."


"That's not true. I totally washed all of those plates."


"With my help!"


"But-"


"Y/N."


"Fine, fine, you don't have to shout."


Haruhi gave you a pointed look as you sigh, grabbing a cart to head out into the dining area for more plates, where you were knocked down, the tray following, squishing your arm. Wincing, you pulled the metal tray off your crippled arm to look at the person who had ran into you.


"I'm so sorry!" the person, a girl, about your age, with long, fiery red hair in a high ponytail, and dark brown eyes to match, stuttered, waving her hands in front of her face rapidly as you started to do the same.


"It's okay!  I wasn't watching where I was going, and I ran into you! A-are you staying at this pension?" after a moment, the girl nodded, and began twirling her hair.


"Yeah, I'm here with my two friends... I'm Wind, by the way. It's not my real name, it's just what everyone calls me, is all."


You blink, unfazed by this. "Oh... Okay?"


Wind opened her mouth to say something else, but a blur spun by the both of you and knocked her off her feet and to the corner of a room. Once the blur cleared, it became certain that it wasn't a person that pulled Wind away.


It was instead two people .


Speak of the devil.


"How dare you talk to a commoner, Trancy-san!" Noel hissed, digging her nails into Wind's left arm. Alleah was on her right, holding the girl's head in her hands like the brunette was falling and Wind's head was the only thing she could grab onto.


"Commoners are filth. You don’t want to be associated with them,” Noel continued, sending you a glance that burned into your skull, which made you flinch.


Wind pulled away from the two and rolled her eyes. “Isn’t this whole pension full of commoners? Besides, they’re not like… diseased or anything. They just have a lot less money than us…” Wind glanced at you and smiled. You picked up the tray off the ground and set it on its wheels, and sighed as the three continued talking.


“Still, Wind, they’re weird, which is why we avoid them at all costs.” Alleah spoke up, her softer voice sharp and full of frustration.


The redhead groaned and walked over to you, grabbing the cart and started towards where the dirty dishes were. You glanced at Noel and Alleah as shock hit all of your features, and you eventually took after Wind, running a bit to catch up.


“W-wait!”


The two of you quickly stacked all of the dishes on the trays silently and awkwardly, and then you grabbed the tray and practically ran back to the kitchen where Haruhi waited, her hands on her hips.


“Where were you? That took you half an hour!” she sighed, shaking her head, but stopped when she noticed Wind. “...Y/N?”


“Y/N?” Wind repeated quietly, and you realized that you hadn’t introduced yourself yet. Whirling towards the girl, you bowed deeply.


“I’m sorry for never introducing myself!” you squeaked. “I’m Y/N! I work here at the pension with Haruhi here for the summer.” you peeked up at the girl, who nodded and grinned.


Haruhi stood behind the two of you, blinking. “Uhhh…?”


Wind waited until you stood up straight, and then smiled at the two of you as you stepped back to stand beside Haruhi. “If it’s alright, I would like to help you two with any chores you have for the day.” It was her time to bow, which confused you and Haruhi. “I’m trying to avoid the people I came to the pension with… they uh… they’re mean…”


A laugh bubbled to your lips as you watched Wind blush and look away, embarrassed. They are pretty mean, I guess…


“Oh! Although…” Haruhi cut off your laughter, making you pout, “I have a…” she looked at you for help, and you raised an eyebrow.


She’s seriously doing this?


“We’re not going to be working the whole day,” you piped up, trying not to stutter, “Haruhi has to go out on a date today in the afternoon.” Haruhi shot you a look that said, “That didn’t help at all! as Wind’s eyes lit up.


“Ooooh~! Really? With who? Is he already your boyfriend? Or is this a first date? Or is it a girl?” she paused and looked at you. “Or is it Y/N-chan?”


You began laughing again, falling to the floor once more as your brunette friend started to explain quickly.


“N-no! He’s just a f-friend!” Haruhi shouted over your cackles, shooting you a glare as you rolled on the ground.


Wind’s mouth made an ‘o’ shape and she joined in laughing as well, holding her sides. You wiped tears from your eyes and stood up, still chuckling, and Wind stopped laughing as well.


“Do you have anything to wear for the date, Haruhi-chan?” she asked, and when Haruhi shook her head, Wind smirked.


Haruhi sighed as the face the redhead made, and explained, “I only packed working clothes for the summer.” she shrugged, and as she did so, Wind’s smirk grew.


“I know the perfect place, then! C’mon, I’ll show you!”


And with that, your new friend grabbed your old friend’s arm and dragged her out of the kitchen, leaving you with a plate of dishes as you listened to Haruhi’s shocked screaming.


You turned to the tray full of dishes and groaned, before grabbing a couple plates and setting them in the sink.


Haruhi’s gone with the Wind.
